Rural, suburban and urban young people enjoy animal-related projects that enhance knowledge and skills in animal biology and production systems, as well as encourage personal development. The Cornell Animal Science Department has active extension programs for young producers of dairy, beef, sheep, swine, poultry and horses. In addition, the youth extension program provides for the interests of many of its clients in pet animals such as dogs, cats and rabbits. In addition to 4H, Science and Technology Programming includes both school and after school activities such as Incubation and Embryology, In Touch Science, the Agriculture and Life Science Projects.
